Bernie Fitzsimon, Managing Director
Bernie established Lighthouse in 1998 and remains actively involved as Managing Director. Bernie has over 25 years experience providing services both to government and private enterprise, and prior to establishing Lighthouse held senior executive positions in the Mailing and IT industries. His vision for Lighthouse is to position the company as the leading provider of innovative regulatory management solutions and services.
Bernie is actively involved in all Lighthouse projects, contributing through his wealth of business knowledge and experience. He is also an active philanthropist, being enthusiastically involved in many community projects.
Mark Clearwater, General Manager
Mark has been with Lighthouse since 2007, originally as Product Development Manager. He has been the driving force behind the development of our Navigate product suite. In 2008 Mark’s role grew to incorporate business development, marketing, product management and consulting services. He has over 15 years experience in the industry, having previously held product management, account management and technical roles at GBST Holdings Ltd.
In July 2010 Mark was appointed General Manager for Lighthouse, focusing on the continued strategic growth of the business.
John Cooke, Manager – Advisory Services
John joined Lighthouse in 2000 as a Project Manager, following several years as the IT Manager for the Queensland Department of Corrective Services. After successfully managing projects for the Queensland Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Fair Trading and Brisbane City Council, John was appointed General Manager for Lighthouse in 2007, focusing on ensuring the company continues to evolve and provide exceptional service to our customers.
In 2010, John was appointed Manager of Lighthouse’s new Advisory Services division, focusing on delivering a range of specialist business advisory services based on Lighthouse’s extensive experience with regulatory business processes. With over twenty years of industry experience, John Cooke is an invaluable resource for Lighthouse and more importantly for our customers.
Lucas Hardie, Product Manager
After joining Lighthouse in 2003, Lucas Hardie has been instrumental to the development of the company’s flagship product, Navigate. Lucas has spearheaded many Navigate initiatives and as a result was appointed Product Manager in 2009. Prior to joining Lighthouse Lucas worked in the UK on large-scale Microsoft projects.
Lucas has a deep understanding of the regulatory industry, the drivers that motivate change within it and the technical requirements of both products and business operating within legislative boundaries. A keen analytical mind and expansive knowledge of the regulatory industry means Lucas is constantly evolving Navigate to be the leading licensing and compliance software of today.
